These questions are split into two sections. The first section lists those questions that I have answers to. The second section lists those questions that I don't have answers to.
A: Please take a look at the updated movies page.
A: No. I only have about 350 of her books. I am constantly searching for the ones I am missing.
A: The following mailing address was provided to me by Dame Barbara several years ago:
Camfield Place
Hatfield
Hertfordshire, England
AL9 6JE
I am not sure how fan mail is being handled since her death.
Barbara Cartland does not have an email address.
A: Several people have suggested Amazon Books. They are at http://www.amazon.com. I have not personally ordered any books from them.
A: I am not aware of any publisher that is releasing single novels. However, several of her older novels have been released in hardcover omnibus editions by Wings Books. These are being distributed by Random House. I have had good luck finding used copies of her older books in used book stores, thrift stores, etc. I have also found many books on eBay (http://www.ebay.com).
A: All of the pictures that I have access to are protected by copyright laws. If I can find a picture that I can use legally, I will add it to the site.
A: No. She died on May 21, 2000.
A: The following made-for-TV movies were produced based on Barbara Cartland books. See the new movies section for more details.
A: Barbara Cartland is related to Princess Diana by marriage in two different ways.
Barbara Cartland and her first husband, Alexander McCorquodale, had one daughter, Raine. In 1976 Raine married the 8th Earl of Spencer. His daughter is Princess Diana. The press has described Dame Barbara as Princess Diana's step-grandmother.
Georgiana Caroline Granville married John Spencer in 1734 and their son became the 1st Earl of Spencer. Barbara Cartland's mother-in-law by her second marriage, Gracie (Granville) McCorquodale, is a descendant of Georgiana Caroline Granville. Princess Diana's father, the 8th Earl of Spencer, is a descendant of the 1st Earl of Spencer. Therefore Barbara Cartland's sons Ian and Glen are distant cousins of Princess Diana.
This information was gathered from an essay called "The History of Barbara Cartland" written by Barbara Cartland, and from the Royal Genealogies web site.
