How was this page created?

This page was originally created and tested on a Macintosh LC III with a 50 MHz DayStar PowerCache accelerator. The text was edited with Microsoft Word and tested on Netscape version 3.01. In early 1999 we converted to Windows. We are still using Microsoft Word, and have updated to Netscape 4.6.

The book titles and information is taken from my personal collection, inside-cover title listings, and library card catalogs. Listed below are the major card catalogs I have used, plus Catherine Decker's regency page.

FirstSearch WorldCat deserves special mention. This catalog is a compilation of card catalogs from 25,000 libraries worldwide. It has about 36 million entries dating back to 1000 A.D. My husband was able to collect bibliographic information in a few hours that we had spent months searching for. The only drawback is that this service is only available to libraries. Many libraries only offer access from their on-site terminals. (I have heard that a few universities offer off-site access for their students and faculty.)

Acknowledgements

I want to take a moment to give a special thanks to my husband, Todd. It was his idea to turn my hobby into a web page. His knowledge of computers and programming made all of this possible.
